Position: Adobe Web Design developer Location: 80 Jesse Hill Jr. Dr. SE Atlanta, GA Duration: 6Months
The Web & Design Specialist is responsible for the online experience of the organization's customers, partners, supplier and employees. By using industry standard approaches to design, updating content regularly and working with the IT department to ensure optimal availability, the Web & Design Specialist ensures that the organization's online portal is among its best assets and offers a public "face" to the company on the Internet. JOB DESCRIPTION: 1. Designs company web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality. 2. Performs webmaster function for multiple sites including sharepoint and apache/php 3. Develops web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features. 4. Proficient in Adobe CS4 or higher, including Photoshop, DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Acrobat; and Microsoft Office suite 2007 and higher, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access 5. Ability to problem-solve issues and create unique solutions. Must be able to handle changes behind other designers and solve coding problems as needed 6. Ensures regular communication and e-mail contact with internal and external audiences and affiliates and acts as main point of contact. 7. Promotes client web sites online to increase prominence within their web community where possible. Implements search engine optimization strategies. Tracks position and following on all web-based channels. 8. Establishes and follows policies and procedures around content management and version control. 9. Circulates accurate reporting. 10. Collaborates with management, business units and IT department to determine the web site's purpose, functions, requirements and long-term strategy. 11. Works with internal or outside developers to create an effective user experience. 12. Works closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure marketing campaigns achieve budgeted commercial targets. 13. Monitors web server and site technical performance. 14. Works with IT department to ensure optimal page loads, uptime and integration. 15. Researches emerging technologies and services that may enhance web experience and make recommendations to management. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Bachelors degree in Graphic Design & Web Design or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of experience in programming including HTML, CSS, SQL, ASP, PHP, AJAX and JavaScript. Strong database skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Flash. Strong project management and communication skills.
