They need someone to help migrate data from the legacy SQL databases to the
new SAP system using VB.NET.
*Please let the candidates know that this role is not a lead role and that
this involves hands on coding oriented towards break, fix and modify of
existing code.*
*Requirements:*
3+ years experience with VB.NET and SQL
Candidate must poses very strong SQL skills with a focus being on the
Microsoft SQL 2008
Candidate must also poses strong Visual Basic .NET skill set
Familiarity with Data Migration work as it relates to SAP is also desirable
but not required
The duties for this candidate will require working with an existing code
base for both Microsoft SQL and Visual Basic .NET to extract data from
legacy SQL databases and transforming it into predefined output file
formats that will be passed to a systems integrator to load into the new
SAP system. The work will require translating data mapping documents and
business requirements into actual data files by making changes to existing
code when needed. There will also be a need for some new code to be
developed. In addition the selected candidate will support and backup
existing team members in the work already in progress related to data
extraction. This will require strong team skills as well as being self
motivated to accomplish tasks assigned based on project deadline.
