Strong verbal, analytical, and written communication skills are required. - The Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting and maintaining all data requirements related to the business applications, interfaces, and reporting environments. This documentation shall include all logical (and physical) data models, all required Gap analysis, all source to Client specifications & all business logic or rules required to translate the business functional and technical requirements. - The Analyst will be required to develop technical specifications and detailed work plans, ensuring both system and data quality. Data quality management efforts may include: data cleansing, deduplication, error reporting and debugging using the standard ETL tool set. - The Analyst shall provide consultation services to clients, technicians and other departments relating to the functions of the supported applications by proactively supporting our client. - The ETL Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring high availability of all related business applications through the strict adherence to our business units. He/she is responsible for effectively prioritizing workload, monitoring performance, and providing expertise in application. Key Responsibilities - Work with business analysts and technical personnel to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Research, analyze and maintain all Applications and Technical documentation - Assist with (data sampling)report creation, ETL & SQL scripting, and the maintenance of all Ad Hoc reporting databases - Develop work plans, schedules, and negotiate Client deadlines of short term and long range initiatives - Provide technical assistance and information to technical and non-technical users - Responsible for managing data extracts/imports, and data quality verification processes - Work with internal & external teams, management, other organization service units, and with end users. - Continually look for opportunities to improve and automate current processes. Experience & Skills - Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases and their native utilities (Query Analyzer, Analytical Workbench, Etc.) - Advanced SQL query-writing skills, Linux/Unix scripting, and automated job scheduling - Experience in ETL Development using standard tools like Informatica, SSIS etc. - Knowledge and use of Metadata including self-generated documentation. - Strong Data Modeling and Database Design experience - Strong issue & problem management including root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills. - Strong adherence to source control, version management, or Configuration management practices - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (Clearly and Succinctly) - Capable of working independently or as part of a large team. - Quick learner and team player, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
