*Please send me the resumes to **[email protected]* <[email protected]> Title: Oracle DBA Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 6 Months *Description:* Responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and administering Oracle databases in production and development environments. *Responsibilities: * • Install, configure, upgrade and support production and development databases • Provide day-to-day (24/7) databases support for users & application teams • Loading data into Oracle databases from files • Implementing database backup and restorations • Trouble shooting and making recommendations to database performance issues • Writing SQL, PL/SQL programs, Shell scripts and Perl programs • Working with Application teams in designing schemas, tuning SQL and improving application logic • Responsible for writing database-monitoring scripts, coming with best practices • Monitoring CPU, Memory usage, IO and other OS stats in tuning the databases • use proactive approach to identify and improve databases performance • Experimenting and implementing oracle new feature • Migrating/upgrading databases and applying Oracle patches • Able and willing to be flexible in Adapting to new technologies, processes and standards *Required Skills: * • 3+ years of Production Oracle database work experience with larger than 500+ GB in size with good understanding of oracle RDBMS concepts and overall architecture • Must have 2+ years of Oracle 10g/11g experience (Oracle 10g/11g RAC experience is highly desirable) • Experience with Oracle 10g/11g grid control/Enterprise Manager • Must have experience with Oracle Data guard/standby • Must have 2+ years of coding experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting • Experience with Oracle Partitioning, RMAN, AWR/Stats pack, SQL*Loader • Experience with Net App filers and/or other storage systems • Strong understanding of database replication concepts, i.e. Data Guard, multi-master replication, streams • Proven shell and Perl scripting • Experience in high-volume and high availability databases • Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis • Ability to analyze and resolve issues • Experience in deploying database changes for new database releases with minimal downtime Thanks, Luke *TRU**Global ** Inc.* | [email protected]| Off: (650) 425 7342 | -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
