Job Title: Business Intelligence Engineer
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Skills: Required
Excellent communication skills; A good understanding of logical and
physical database design; knowledge of dimensional design and Kimball
design techniques; Solid understanding of SQL Server, including T-SQL,
stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and cursors; Logical &
physical database design, Logical Modeling; Data warehousing; Strong
knowledge and development capability with control and data flows using SQL
Server Integration Services (SSIS); Experience developing and maintaining
cubes with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS); An in-depth understanding
of Windows Server platform and database subsystems to facilitate tuning and
troubleshooting; Expertise in software installation and support of
relational databases, and front-end tools; Ability to resolve technically
oriented problems; Ability to communicate effectively with vendor and
support personnel; Ability to learn quickly; Ability to work with
aggressive timelines and targets; Flexibility in adjusting schedules to
meet demanding deadlines.
Preferred
Strong knowledge of Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services or reporting
in a similar reporting tool. Capabilities in application development in
Microsoft .Net development environment using .Net tools.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field, or an
equivalent combination thereof. A minimum of 3 years experience with
relational database management system and data modeling experience. This
position requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL;.
and Design and development experience with Microsoft SSAS and SSIS
preferred.
