Scope of work: Wide Area Routing and Local Area Load Switching Architecture: • Provides daily design support for Riverbed WAN Optimization Services • Support shipboard Riverbed environment • Provides daily design support for Routing and Switching Services • Develop Routing and Switching designs for Day 2 operations supporting identification and resolution for network events. • Support relationships with key IT Peers – networking engineering, security, etc • Routing and Switching Engineering for Capacity and performance analysis for LAN and WAN • Produces weekly reports on Riverbed optimization to team and management. • Provide technology leadership to other members of network team Required skills/competencies: • Cisco Routing and Switching IP Standards • Riverbed Steelhead and Interceptor configuration and operation • Satellite Networking • Computer Networking • Switches Cisco Catalyst platform (VLANs, trunking) • Protocols OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and other related technologies (Multicast, IP Video and IP Telephony). • CCIE skill level requested • Riverbed Certification requested Preferred Skills: • Riverbed Steelhead WAN Optimization Development: • Riverbed Steelhead models: CX255, CX555, CX755, CX1555, CX5055, CX7055 • Riverbed Steelhead models: EX560, EX760, EX1160, EX1260, EX1360 • Granite Core Model: 2000, Virtual-Granite-Core • Application Optimization: File sharing (CIFS w/SMB1,2,3 and NFS), Exchange (MAPI), Lotus Notes, web (HTTP- and HTTPS-based applications), database (MS SQL and Oracle), Citrix, SSL, VDI/PCoIP Optimization • TCP Optimization over Satellite-SCPS • Video Optimization/Pre-Positioning/Stream Splitting (Flash/Silverlight) • Scalable Data Referencing (SDR) Web Cache Communication Protocol (WCCP) • Riverbed Virtual Services Platform (VSP): Windows Server, Infoblox, Firewall • Riverbed Quality of Service (QoS) • Riverbed Steelhead Central Management Console Development: • Riverbed Central Management Console model: 8150 • Full control of up to 200 Steelhead appliances or Virtual Steelheads. o Riverbed Interceptor model: 9350 o Cluster up to 25 Steelhead appliances so they can work together seamlessly to scale out to a million TCP connections and up to 12 Gbps of throughput. Routing Development: • Routing between Riverbed Steelhead WAN Optimization Controllers and Cisco and Juniper router platforms. • Routing between Riverbed Central Management Console and Cisco and Juniper router platforms. • Routing between Riverbed Steelhead Mobile Controller and Cisco and Juniper router platforms. • Routing between Riverbed Interceptor and Cisco and Juniper router platforms.
