Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Description:
Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex Sybase
database environments, physical structures, and specialized database
applications. Analyze performance of existing databases, recommend and
follow implementation of tuning to enhance this performance. Monitor and
correct all database maintenance jobs/activities. Assist in the design of
new databases for project needs
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of Sybase DBA experience
5+ years of DBA experience
Applications knowledge
Be able to monitor what is on the tables and make recommendations
Configuration
Undergraduate degree
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,
Access)Intermediate proficiency with MS Visio
