Job Title: Datastage ETL Developer/Analyst
Locvation:Birmingham AL
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Primary Responsibilities:
The Sr. ETL Analyst is responsible for transferring data from the legacy
systems to centralized enterprise repositories such as MDM, ODS and Data
Warehouse. The Sr. ETL Analyst may also be responsible for data validation,
data cleansing, data transformation and calculations, as well as writing
and scheduling the load jobs. The Sr. ETL Analyst must understand all the
business rules currently existing in the legacy system and insure they are
accounted for in the new system. The Sr. ETL Analyst should have excellent
understanding of various business metadata. Assist with the research for
any changes to existing ETL processes and handle the ETL functions for new
projects.
Summary of Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree, preferably in Computer Science, and five (5) years of
programming experience or five (5) years of programming experience and
three (3) years of relevant business experience
4. DB2 (3 years wanted) – could substitute other database experience, if
InfoSphere experience is heavy, or if you have experience with helping set
up an information management/business intelligence/data warehousing area.
5. Experience analyzing customer needs, designing new systems and/or
modifying existing systems
6. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects
7. Experience in a position interpreting and communicating information
orally and written
8. Experience in a position interacting with all levels of staff internal
and external
9. Experience in a position requiring the ability to identify and solve
problems
10. Experience in a position requiring the ability to organize and
prioritize tasks
11. Excellent experience and knowledge across multiple business
applications and source systems is preferred
12. Working knowledge of COBOL, DB2 and JCL on an IBM MVS mainframe is a
plus
13. Healthcare background will be a plus
