Job Title: Datastage Developer----GC's or US Citizens
Locvation:Downtown Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Previous healthcare insurance or Blue Cross experience is huge. Teradata
experience is huge too.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Installation/upgrading of IBM WebSphere Data Integration suite
- Troubleshooting IBM WebSphere Data Integration suite and infrastructure
issues
- Develop and troubleshoot UNIX scripts
- Setup database connectivity to various database environments
- Monitor environments according to security requirements
- Monitor jobs for performance issues and troubleshooting
- Develop, enhance, and support best practices and standards for data
integration
- Provide performance tuning insight to project teams
- Mentor developers on data integration best practices and standards
- Perform design and code reviews for the projects to ensure alignment with
best practices and standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- Solid hands-on experience in using IBM DataStage; with extensive work as
a data integration practitioner
- Well versed with DataStage clustering architecture and parallel jobs
- Knowledge in combine/sort/aggregate/transform data
- Able to create reusable objects and job templates
- Schedule, compile, and run DataStage jobs efficiently
- Solid hands-on experience using XML stage
- Skilled in interpreting/manipulating XML document
- Experienced in UNIX scripting, FTP, and basic network principles
- Expertise in database and data warehouse design principles
- Well versed in SQL Coding and querying skills
- Experience in testing, debugging skills, and troubleshooting support and
development issues
- Onsite support experience
- Experience with version 8.5 (QualityStage/DataStage)
- Data modeling experience
