In-depth understanding of Hive internals required. Should have excellent knowledge of Java and J2EE Should have knowledge of various Hive file formats. Complete understanding of Data Layout ( Partitions & Buckets) Exposure to hive to join datasets using a variety of techniques, including Map-side joins and Sort-Merge-Bucket joins Write efficient Hive queries and has done joins optimizations debugging & Testing for Hive Queries and do performance optimizations Should have working knowledge on Oozie Previous experience in SQL and experience in Teradata stored procedures is desirable.
