Position:  QA Test Engineer with Ab Initio
Location:  Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 months

Required:
Please note they need someone who has experience testing Data Warehouses,
specifically they must have some experience Ab Initio and be very good with
testing complex SQL; manual and automated.
The Software QA Test Engineer will be responsible for both leading
activities and performing hands on testing.


The qualified candidate will be able to :
Define approach to validating capabilities
Develop testing strategies and testing plans, including, functional
testing, non-functional testing, regression testing, negative testing,
deployment testing, ETL job execution (Control M) testing, and error
handling testing
Work with business to understand requirements
Identify the types of testing and test scenarios to validate capabilities
Define and mock-up test data needed to execute testing
Work with operations team to coordinate the build of the testing
environment for the initiative
Develop comprehensive and reusable test cases
Facilitate UAT activities with the business team
Track defects and report on testing progress and results

Qualified candidates must have experience with the following:
Ab Initio
Data warehousing
Test strategy and test plan development
Test data creation
Advanced SQL skills

Technologies include Ab Initio, DB2, Cognos, FTP, Toad, Quality Center,
Clear Case, Control M, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
