The consultant shall be very knowledgeable in Oracle Forms and Reports development lOg and higher, relational database modeling, SQL and PL/SQL. The consultant shall possess knowledge of the latest Oracle features to maximize the performance of the UTS OLTP functions/queries on the current data while maintaining adequate performance for the OLAP functions/queries on the historical data of 1O+ years. The consultant shall present alternatives to improve performance using Oracle features such as p!iftitioning, a reporting database, archive database, or other solution.Management and Timekeeping experience is preferred. The type of expertise and educational background desired is outlined in the attached scope of technical requirements and qualification criteria. The candidates will be responsible for the following:Modify database schema design as needed including partitioning.Implement best practices and recommend tools to manage database schemas.Support development, test and production environments using Oracle 11g Forms and Reports expertise.Design, develop and implement archiving of production data.Identify potential issues and limitations; monitor and improve performance.Develop and maintain procedures to optimize application availability.Suggest improvements in database infrastructure where appropriate.Capacity planning.Diagnose issues in complex application architectures.Evaluate and solicit feedback on processes to identify possible areas of improvement for optimizing transactions.Perform impact analyses of changes to database schema objects.Work closely and provide technical support to applications developers on new and existing Oracle systems.Build and maintain stored procedures, packages, triggers and views.Provide technical assistance with custom development.Perform knowledge transfer in the areas of Oracle DBA, Oracle SQL and PL-SQL programming and performance monitoring.Seven to ten (7-10+) years or more of related full¬ time, paid experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer and database administrator.Please send resume to [email protected] <[email protected]>*
