Role: Oracle DBA / Developer Location: New York 10004
Duration: 12 months Need in person interview at client location ( Local only) The candidates will be responsible for the following: . Modify database schema design as needed including partitioning. . Implement best practices and recommend tools to manage database schemas. . Support development, test and production environments using Oracle 11g Forms and Reports expertise. . Design, develop and implement archiving of production data. . Identify potential issues and limitations; monitor and improve performance. . Develop and maintain procedures to optimize application availability. . Suggest improvements in database infrastructure where appropriate. . Capacity planning. . Diagnose issues in complex application architectures. . Evaluate and solicit feedback on processes to identify possible areas of improvement for optimizing transactions. . Perform impact analyses of changes to database schema objects. . Work closely and provide technical support to applications developers on new and existing Oracle systems. . Build and maintain stored procedures, packages, triggers and views. . Provide technical assistance with custom development. . Perform knowledge transfer in the areas of Oracle DBA, Oracle SQL and PL-SQL programming and performance monitoring. Requirement Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Ten (10+)years or more of related full- time, paid experience as an Oracle PUSQL developer and database administrator. The candidate must have strong initiative and leadership skills, strong work ethic, responsibility and. dedication is also necessary. In addition, the ability to work independently, and in a team environment with strong verbal and writing skills is required.
