*Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA (Need Locals)*

*Location Ft. Worth TX*

*Job Summary:*

The Senior Production DBA is a key contributor to stability in this
environment through the daily monitoring of changes made to production
databases and tight coordination with the development DBAs and the
production DBA team.  This position reports to the director of data
services and will collaborate with DBAs, application developers, and
vendors on a regular basis.  High attention to detail and drive to deliver
excellence in every task are core values of the company and a principal
characteristic required of this position.

*Essential Functions:*

·         Provide leadership and direction to the Production DBA team.

·         Work with business units and internal constituents to understand
application change requirements and goals to guide the DBA team to adjust
database changes to be more scalable, more available, and meet higher
performance metrics.

·         Oversee the troubleshooting of performance problems during
deployment and Stage testing to provide possible solutions and/or fixes.

·         Work with Application Development to ensure that levels of
support from DBAs are adequate to support the product development team.

·         Create and maintain database environments supporting our business
systems.

·         Perform occasional SQL code releases in conjunction with the
release of application code by Release Management team.

·         Enhance schema to support customer data security policies using
encryption, views, and other techniques to minimize the profile of highly
sensitive data either static in data stores or while in transit.

·         Responsible for the addition and deletion of user access to
production databases according to published policies.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned.

*Requirements   Education and Experience:*

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

·         5+ years’ database and SQL experience.

·         5+ years’ experience in a 24/7/365 production database
environment.

·         Professional experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, analysis
services, and integration services.

·         Professional experience in lending or financial services,
e-commerce a plus.

·         Must be a detail-oriented, security-conscious SQL Server database
administrator.

·         Understanding of best practices for ETL across the enterprise.

·         Solid to expert knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
architecture and security models.

·         Fluency with appropriate tools including SQL Management Studio,
Query Analyzer, Profiler, Performance Monitor, and other SQL Server
management tools, as well as the entire Microsoft Office suite.

·         Experience in architecting solutions in both a physical and
virtual server environment.

·         Experience in the forecasting and architectural design of system
and storage requirements as well as implementing the architecture of those
requirements (SAN space, active/passive server architectures, etc.).

·         Experience with the Embarcadero tool for data modeling a plus.

·         Some .NET programming experience helpful to understand functions.

·         Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008  administration and
optimization.

·         Proficient with SQL Server Agent, with the ability to create,
schedule and troubleshoot jobs.

·         Proficient with TSQL, writing stored procedures and SQL batch
processes.

·         Proficient with backups, restores, and replication.

·         Ability to tune poor performing queries.

·         Knowledgeable of DTS, BCP, and SSIS with the ability to
troubleshoot either as a standalone package or as a job.

·         Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must;
position works closely with large inter-departmental teams on a daily basis.

·         Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple
projects simultaneously.

·         Must have the desire to work on new, innovative, cutting edge
technologies.
