Position: SAP Basis Administrator Location: Bellevue, WA Duration: 3-6 Months (ONSITE) JOB DESCRIPTION Manages servers, storage, operating systems and applications to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems’ enhancements. • This individual will work with four other team members and will work on trouble shooting, monitoring and auditing the SAP system. • Monitors, troubleshoots, configures, enhances and provides advanced customer support. • Plans and executes the implementation of new applications or system integration and testing. • Researches, recommends and designs new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing systems. Provides consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the network environment. Update Specifically we are looking for someone who has strong Solution Manager 7.1 experience with setting up alerting with the SAP Technical Monitoring and someone who can configure from a Basis perspective Business Process Monitoring. It would be tremendous if they also had TDMS experience, but our immediate need is for setting up the alerts for our technical monitoring and configuring business process monitoring. Specific experience: 1) Solution Manager 7.1: b. Central Monitoring We need *specific* Solution Manager 7.1 expertise as the tool is significantly changed and different with 7.1. 2) TDMS 4.04: a. System Shell Creation b. IS/U Object Based Reduction c. BPL (Billing, Premise and BP specific data) Requirements: • In depth experience with Performance monitoring tools • Enterprise experience with Solution Manager • 6 to 8 years experience working in distributed computing technologies. • Experience with one or more of the following protocols: IP, UDP, TCP, ICMP, RIP, EGP, BGP, OSPF • Enterprise experience working with SAP Enhancement Packs • 5 years experience with SAP architecture, BASIS administration and support and SAP NetWeaver platform integration. • Varied experience working with a variety of technologies to include TDMS • Experience working with SM module of SAP • Professional experience working with SAP Test Data Migration Server 4.0 • Minimum 5 years of software development experience. • Knowledge of how to create configurations in SAP • Solid RDBMS knowledge (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, HANA) • Demonstrated project management experience managing implementations of new enterprise-wide technology initiatives. • Experience as a project team member of an enterprise implementation. • Knowledge of network operating systems. • Proven effective track record of customer interactions. • Knowledge of Unix and SQL and related utilities. Requires good troubleshooting ability.
