Position Description The Software Quality Engineer ensures that quality is built into software development products by utilizing a combination of preventative and appraisal methods at all phases of development-especially the production phase. Preventing defects during the production phase will be a key factor in the success of this position. The SQE must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of software quality concepts, write test cases based on complex medical device systems, in addition to participating in the planning & design of test efforts for small to mid-size projects in their entirety. The successful SQE will also need to demonstrate the following skills and abilities: • Create requirements for traceability documents • Mediate across the different IT teams to gain a consensus for small projects • Utilize working knowledge of the IT landscape and the roles and responsibilities within the organization. • Possess in-depth experience, knowledge and skills within the job family • Familiarity with test automation and SQL database testing • Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations • Work independently with minimal guidance and determine work priorities • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience Qualifications: • Mid-level SQE with over 3 years of experience • 3-7 years of experience creating test cases based testing software embedded on hardware • 3-7 years of experience with embedded software testing or white-box testing • Proficient experience and working knowledge of different testing approaches • Experience performing analysis on software specifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing investigation, analysis and diagnosis on system anomalies -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
