Position: Qlikview Lead Designer Location: Concord Mass Duration: 6 months + extensions
We are in need of a Qlikview Lead Designer. This resource will lead the complete installation and configuration of the Qlikview applications. This person must have in additional to clearly strong product knowledge and proven experience; extremely good consulting skills, people skills, BI architecture savvy not just a “tool guy” and excellent communication skills. The person would work directly with the business users and IT folks and entering into an environment where BI is at the lower end of the BI maturity scale. So someone that knows how to sell, teach and explain to a largely novice audience would be an ideal candidate. Client is looking for onsite developers in NYC office for net new development on BI reports using Qlikview, which supports 300+ Fixed Income, Equities, Risk Managers traders and management. Some example reports include firm wide PnL, trial balance, reference data and more and need to be able to refresh in a timely manner. Job description: This resource will conduct requirements gathering hand in hand with a BA’s from the business. Development will be conducted with a standard methodology, potentially agile. This resource will work with the Qlikview developers and will work from dashboard, repots, to Database modeling (Oracle 11g) and creation of any required BI tables. • Perform detailed analysis of source systems and source system data and model that data in QlikView • Design, QlikView to import data from source systems and test QlikView dashboards to meet customer requirements • Experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, especially in scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents • Create and maintain technical design documentation • Design, create and tune physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support logical and dimensional models; Maintain the referential integrity of the database • Provide input on proposing, evaluating and selecting appropriate design alternatives which meet client requirements and are consistent with client’s current standards and processes.
