*Job Description:* - The Backup Systems Administrator will perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs, investigate and troubleshoot issues; as they relate to the backup infrastructure. - Troubleshoot and resolve failed Netbackup jobs and close Remedy Incidents - Implement new servers into the appropriate backup schema, create new Netbackup polices where appropriate, create SOP’s, create ContolM scheduling jobs - Perform restores via Netbackup application. - Ensure physical and virtual tape inventories, monitor and remediate frozen, write protected media - Maintain health of IBM 3584 tape library supporting LT04 tape drives. - Maintain health of IBM ProtecTIER for both open Systems and iSeries - Reporting via Symantec OpsCenter Analytics reporting tool. - Assist with Netbackup version upgrades Master/ Media server as well a client version upgrades. - Participate in Disaster Recovery testing -- Thanks & Regards.
