*Duties: DBA Support of production system and clone environments* *The resource will be responsible for:Work within an Oracle 11g in a Linux environment.Perform database performance tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager.Recommend and implement database configuration enhancements as approved.Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies using support tools (e.g. RMAN).Develop, test and deploy database backup and stored procedures.Support implementation of Oracle Financial Application suite.Develop procedures, processes, tools, and documentation to install, operate, administer, maintain, and provision the Oracle database infrastructure.Analyze performance issues and recommend solutions.Pro actively automate routine DBA tasks. Work with the Business Continuity Team to refine and test disaster recovery systems and procedures.Assist application developers with writing efficient SQL, and train them on the use of database tools, techniques and concepts.Review, recommend, test, and implement physical data model changes.Work with the Oracle Applications Functional Analyst to analyze, design and develop enterprise-wide application functional solutions to meet the business and users requirements.Work with the Oracle Applications Functional Analyst and Oracle Applications Database Administrator to perform Oracle Application System Administration tasks.OA FrameworksPatching work and catch up patchingThe current DBA works on Sunday for patching* *Experience: At least five years in an Oracle Senior Database Administration role supporting an Oracle Financial Application environment with two years being in a reliable 12.1.3 environment. Experience supporting an Oracle Financials Applications in a Linux environment. Experience with file transfers, job scheduling, scripting, event and performance analysis, and overall performance monitoring.* *Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients and team members. Ability to effectively obtain, analyze and convey information. Ability to prepare, organize and present information to groups of people.
