Please send resumes to [email protected] Start Date: 9/2/2014 Duration: 6 months with chance of extension Location: Whippany, NJ Role: Automation tester with SQL skills *LOCALS NEEDED & must* *Interview procedure:* two rounds… round one via Skype and round two will be face to face with the hiring manager in NYC. *Responsible: * · Develop test cases to validate new functionality · Work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure appropriate test coverage and identify gaps if any. · Ensure functionality is tested against requirements, validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process. · Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression of existing functionality. This includes Server & Client testing. Validation will be performed against the server & java logs, database, XML messages between the client & server as well as the front end applications. · Use extensive SQL and UNIX commands to confirm that the data reported is as expected. · Automate testing effort using toolset such as QTP and Load Runner, where possible. · Server side automation for testing critical trading system services, such as regulatory reporting feeds, back office systems. · Perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working out the root cause of the issue prior to recording in a defect tracking tool. · Participate in a culture of "knowledge sharing" within the project team. · Work closely with the test manager and help with managing other projects in the area. *Mandatory* · Demonstrate their experience of working on previous successful testing projects. · Demonstrate their in-depth understanding and knowledge of Test Methodologies and the full SDLC. · Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills · Strong Database Testing skills (writing SQL Queries – includes joins etc.) · Knowledge of scripting (VB, VBScript, Shell, perl etc) · Previous investment banking experience · Results driven Able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales · Conscientious Always give 100% to tasks assigned · Versatile -Able to multi-task · Team Player Must be able to work with and participate within a large professional team · Professional – Expect to work the hours the job demands · Quick learner · Ability to prioritize and organize · Strong Leadership skills · Strong communication skill · Strong problem solving skills *Technologies* As part of the testing team, technical skills are expected for trouble shooting and creating tools to improve process efficiency.
