Job Summary & Scope: The position will provide the individual with the opportunity to work with new frameworks and web design technologies. To assist our team in the advancement of services provided to our stores and corporate offices. The selected candidate will work with various development teams to design and build various solutions. The Jr. Java software engineer position requires a developer with a solid understanding of Core Java technologies. In addition a solid understanding of the Spring framework, Hibernate, and web technologies, such as, HTML5, JavaScript, and Dojo or JQuery is a plus. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop technical designs and implement code according to standards and Business rules. Provide team with creative design and solutions to enhancements or code defects. Deliver quality code on time. Perform comprehensive unit tests to ensure quality of code delivery. Identify and communicate any issues or concerns regarding projects or defects to the team. Assist with Quality Assurance team by providing key test scenarios to defect solutions. Provide estimate of work effort required to assigned programming tasks. Perform multiple tasks and manage time accordingly. Additional Responsibilities: Working with team member(s) in: Assisting the team member(s) with research and development of new solutions. Assisting the Application Development team with creation of installation packages. Documenting existing technical functionality to assist the Store Systems team. Working with other functional areas of the IT department impacted by the current project.
