Title : *Quality Assurance Engineer* Location : *Boston, MA * Duration : *3 Months Contract* *Job Description:* Develops and executes test cases. May develop high level test plans. Documents problems identified in testing and reports results. Manages the execution of multiple, complex test plans by preparing assignments, providing training and guidance and reviewing activities to ensure quality standards are met. Diagnoses system problems and recommends solutions. Participates in the definition and design of new systems and enhancements. Serves as a technical, subject matter resource for testing, systems and business line staff. Performs test preparation activities, including developing test schedules and defining expected test results. Compares test results to expected results. Documents and tracks bugs, problems and limitations and retests. Composes and disseminates software release notes prior to production implementation. • Develops test plans, executes test cases (both manual and automated), and manages the UAT tests utilizing a structured process. Tests will include usability verification, end-to-end data and process verification, back-end database and system verification. • Leads the definition of overall test strategy, for a logical grouping of applications within Global Markets (Portfolio Solutions) division. • Defines a test strategy, for application under management, that encompasses comprehensive systems, monitors that the correct environment(s) exist to execute test plans and cases in conjunction with the test strategy, and takes corrective action as necessary • Approves and monitors execution of test plans across test phases based on test strategy • Provides guidance and direction to test analysts as to internal or external factors that impact test strategy • Provides testing process leadership. • Analyzes and provides context and effective presentation of metrics gathered in the test process in order to propose and implement ongoing improvements • Manages issue tracking and resolution, assigns priorities and severities. • Ensures proper procedures and controls are in place throughout the testing process • Ensures testing signoffs are received and provides systems deployment approval to IT Qualifications • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent. • Previous leadership experience required, preferably of a testing group required. • Strong attention to detail required. • Knowledge of trading applications is a plus. • Strong working knowledge of both Agile and waterfall methodologies is required • Proven leadership, problem solving, and communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. • Strong knowledge of systems design, testing and quality assurance methodologies. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and large-scale testing projects successfully. • Demonstrated knowledge of computing and networking platforms and ability to manage testing activities across platforms. • Knowledge of automated testing tools, emerging technologies and client/server issues including interoperability, scalability. *Thanks & Regards,* *Naga Vemuri* *Ph* - 408-668-8260 *Fax* - 408-608-6088 *Email* - [email protected] <[email protected]> *Gtalk* - *[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
