*A. Elicitation and documentation of requirements*
A.1 Focus on Business requirements than system requirements. Need both as
this analyst would write business requirements and also the functional
requirements
A.2 Sound knowledge of requirements methodology (E.g. How would you conduct
a requirements session with a business user for understanding and writing
requirements for a Dashboard or Report)
*B. Good communication and presentation
skills
*
B.1 Must be a self-starter and should be able to drive business and
technical requirements
B.2 Strong verbal and documentation skills
B.3 Good Listening and requirements interpretation skills
*C. Insurance knowledge*
C.1 Knowledge and understanding of insurance terminology to understand
business users
C.2 Insurance background/experience would be a nice to have
*D. Translate and correlate business requirements to technical terms*
D.1 Understand technical terminology and relate to business requirements to
provide clarity on technical requirements and clarifications to the project
team.
D.2 Experience in writing requirements for Data warehouse (backend data
requirements) and Reporting projects / environment
D.3 Database/RDBMS knowledge to understand data relationships and
dependencies
D.4 Good SQL knowledge and ability to query data using tools
D.5 Ability to test business requirements (BSA would be involved during the
testing validation phases)
