Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve desktop application issues, with the ability to identify and proactively resolve on-going desktop issues. Extensive experience writing scripts using visual basic, MS SQL, batch files, WMI, VBscript and Wscript in order to resolve desktop application issues. Experience with desktop virtualization. Candidate much be able to recommend and evaluate new technology and/or process improvements for desktop environment. Effectively interacts in collaboration with immediate team and all levels of departmental staff as well as project managers in project discovery or analysis. Provides outstanding customer services and promotes ideas for improving process and relationships in the department and entire organization. Approaches work optimistically and has the ability to motivate team members and guide less experienced staff. Will assist on remediation of the most difficult or advanced technical problems and will work on research and the development of solutions for newly identified issues and technologies as they arise. Ensures a timely response and resolution (or escalation when appropriate) to Level 3 incidents and requests. Demonstrates a working knowledge of best practices and follows documented processes and procedures in facilitation of service recovery, refresh, maintenance, moves and various other project related activities. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and knows when to escalate incidents following appropriate processes and procedures. Contributes standard formatted documentation to knowledgebase. Maintains required and personal training and development plans. *Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* * Undergraduate degree in a technical field and one of the following certifications: MCSE, A+ or Network+ * 5+ years of progressively more advanced direct computer related work and customer service experience is required * Experience with implementing and\or managing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using VMware or Citrix XenApps * Comprehensive knowledge of current PC operating systems, printing, networking, and application environments * Experience with SCCM 2012 program for application distribution and reporting as well as Microsoft Security Patch management process * Experience with Microsoft SCCM program for application distribution * Experience with VP Scripting and SQL Query development a must * Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration and login scripts * Experience with Desktop Virtualization * Self-motivated and goal orientated * Ability to adapt in a changing service environment * Excellent problem solving skills * Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service * Experience utilizing ticket tracking systems *Coalesce Deliverables:* · Provisioning support o Assist FSTS in determination of profile/a la carte applications to provision · Build line of business specific end user profiles o Assist in gathering business requirements o Build profile collections in SCCM12 o Submit application packaging requests o Link Group Policy Objects to AD OUs o Coordinate UAT o Produce FSTS hand-off documentation · Assessment of EUE readiness per Coalesce site o Are all needed drivers/profiles/applications for a given site packaged/tested and distributed to the needed SCCM distribution points? · Deployment support/engineering o Participate in “SWAT” team troubleshooting during mass deployment activities when needed.
