Title : Exchange Engineer

Location:              can be either downtown NYC or Bethlehem, PA

Duration:             6 months

*Summary of responsibilities:*In this role, the Exchange Engineer will take
a lead role in the support of our platform and the mentoring and training
of team members and peers.  For our Office 365 , on-prem, multi-site,
multi-domain messaging server environment, this lead role will provide
enhancements, gold builds, PowerShell commandlets, standards and help
perform lead daily operational and maintenance activities. Other tasks may
include leading incremental upgrades and configuration changes, and ensure
systems are functioning properly. This role will also serve as the service
owner for high priority incidents in the messaging space and will be
responsible for corrective and preventative actions that result from high
priority incidents. Other responsibilities could include support of
mobility management/projects as needed.

The successful candidate will have experience with scripting to support
Exchange/Outlook including Active Directory Objects, admin scripting, etc.
Scripting, pertaining to projects resulting from Lotus Notes to Exchange
migrations, would be a plus as would scripting on the cloud. While
PowerShell is the scripting language of choice, demonstrated programming
skills and proficiencies with other scripting languages may be considered.

*List of responsibilities:*



·         Ability to troubleshoot complex Exchange routing issues.

·         Configuring and troubleshooting email transport related
technologies (DNS, SMTP, RPC, POP3, etc.) as well as mail routing issues.

·         Mobile Device Management – Air Watch

·         Microsoft Instant Messaging technologies

·         FIM and federated identity management synchronization services

·         Lync


*Required expertise:*



·         5+  years of Enterprise Messaging support leveraging MS
technologies

·         Experience with integrating messaging solutions into external
compliance infrastructure for archiving and supervision

·         Ability to provide 2nd/3rd level support as it relates to
messaging.

·         4 years of scripting experience, ideally with PowerShell

·         1-2 years of Mobile Device Management – Air Watch or equivalent
(e.g. Good Technologies, etc.) - MUST

·         1-3 years implementation experience of the technologies listed
above.

·         Experience in large scale messaging environments - +15,000 users.


*Preferred experience*

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
preferred or 2-4 years of equivalent work experience required.

·         Experience with the administration of Air Watch.(this is now a
MUST skill)

·         Experience with migrations to Office 365. Experience with
migrations to Exchange; Notes to Exchange (on prem systems).

·         Ability to work independently or collaborate with team members,
as required

·         Ability and willingness to develop documentation, test, and
implementation plans
