Title: Senior JAVA Developer Location: Minneapolis,MN Duration: 12 month long contract *Only Local candidates* The Senior Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using a variety of technologies that support multiple lines of Business and IT initiatives. This individual may work independently or collaborate with a smaller group of developers in similar efforts. This position is responsible for technical analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of IT solutions as needed by business or IT. The senior developer works closely with other subject matter experts to help design and build solutions for a multitude of applications, including; web, client server, batch processing, portal applications, transactions and data and data warehouse architecture. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and demonstrate an ability to maintain effective work relationships across a diverse group of technical and non-technical team members and business stakeholders. Successful candidates will possess the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and properly escalate issues for a timely resolution. You will also be a self-motivated team player that thrives in a collaborative and competitive environment. Project management experience in large scale projects involving multiple business units is a plus. Requirements: 5+ years of Java experience in developing or maintaining information systems. Experienced Java Developer with either knowledge in the following areas; Required : Full J2EE stack, Spring Framework, Java, JDBC, JSP/Servlet. Optional : EJB, Hibernate, Strut etc. Experience with either applications servers: BEA Weblogic, JBOSS etc. Experience with either database servers: Oracle Experience with multiple O/S's: Windows, UNIX platforms.
