Duration: 12+Months Job Description provided below: Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills given our customers are in multiple locations. 8+ years experience in software engineering and/or software architecture. C 5+ years’ experience in Business Objects Enterprise Administration and Development (ver 3.x/4.x Upgrade/Conversion experience from 3.1 > 4.1 highly desirable) C -Deep & broad knowledge of multiple technologies with extensive knowledge of the capabilities & constraints of some technologies supported P -Understanding of the fundamental designs for all subsystems of a product with a specific focus on product & technology stack interoperability with adjacent products P -Understanding of environmental shifts in technology & the impact against product P -Understanding of the full breadth of needs for a solution to be brought to market (infrastructure, QA, UA, security, etc.) P -Technical mastery in multiple & competency in all architecture domains of a product P -Champion engineering process disciplines (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Kanban, ITIL P -Champion industry process improvement programs (e.g., CMMI, IOS-9000, FDA, Six Sigma) P • Able to translate customer needs into technical requirements C • Able to communicate with customers on their technical level C • Able to work on a team in person and in a collaborative virtual setting – share workload, share knowledge, backup others on the team, brainstorm solutions, etc C • Able to clearly communicate with management – both written and oral communication C Responsibilities/day to day tasks • Administers to BO Dev/QA/Prod clustered server environments (BO3.1, BI4.0, Explorer, Metadata Manager, Lifecycle Manager, Publication, Mobile, Xcelsius/Dashboards, SAP Integration Kit, Crystal SDK, Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, SharePoint integration) C • BI Tool administration in enterprise environments to include user maintenance, security, code promotion, user and operations production support (some on call) and system upgrades C • Collaborates with DBAs, Windows, Unix, Control M, and McKesson IT teams and applies application patches and system upgrades as necessary C • Sizes and configures various BusinessObjects related applications and services and scales the platform as necessary to support business growth C • Implements load, archive, and recovery strategies and processes C • Provides requirements analysis, level of effort estimation, and project planning C • Provides technical leadership for development of BusinessObjects universes and reports, including universe design, technical code design, software management and technical standards for BusinessObjects C • Designs and constructs BusinessObjects universes and reports P • Maintaining user and group security models, deploying, configuring, and scheduling reports C • System security administration / design, system integration C • System maintenance – test, validate and apply service packs, hot / critical fixes C • Setting up Custom and Access level Security for Business Objects contents and applications C • Strong understanding of Business Objects Services for performance tuning and configuration file changes C • Knowledge of Business Objects models and architecture C • Experience in the process of promoting Business Objects in various environments like Development, Testing, and User Acceptance C • Work collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams to provide advice and information to global groups and serve as an advocate to promote the benefits of the platform C • Performance monitoring in collaboration with Enterprise Infrastructure to ensure smooth operation, to identify, resolve and manage performance issues and to drive best practices in universe tuning C • Perform daily monitoring of the servers/systems and respond quickly to alerts C • Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies for the shared platform P • Develop, implement and document processes and standards for SAP Business Objects C • Strong analytical trouble shooting skills C • General knowledge of Microsoft package (Outlook, Office, Lync, Windows) P -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
