Overview: We are a highly collaborative team of engineers, builders and problem solvers that share an open lab environment. We get excited about mobile apps, retail, innovation, hackathons and collaborative work styles. This role is part of a larger product team that builds, supports and promotes APIs and our developer website. Our customers are developers. This role will build the organizations external APIs and the tools we provide for developers. Specific tasks will vary, but mainly it’s writing code for a variety of changes to an existing application for our open APIs. Requirements: At least five years of relevant systems software engineering experience and a BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience). Experience building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers Experience with large database driven applications and/or distributed computing Aggressive Refactoring API Design Experience Experience with web development, REST, HTTP, Java, Ruby, Data, NoSQL, XML, json Experience with TDD, Agile, Paired Programming Nice to Have: Any level of experience as a MYSQL DBA and/or NoSQL is a plus Experience with SOLR.
