A background in healthcare, claims payment/processing systems and EDI transactions is a plus. Developer will be responsible for maintenance and support of current .NET 2.0 fat-client application and will assist in design, development, testing and implementation of the next generation. Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff is a must, as developer will interact with business analysts about requirements, partners about enhancements with client regarding implementation and application usage. *Required Skills: * - *5+ years of .NET - Visual Studio 2008+* - *4+ years of MS SQL (SQL Server Management Studio)* - *Effective and efficient communication * - *Healthcare business knowledge * - SQL query optimization (Knowledge of Transactions, Isolation Levels, Indexes, Blocks, Locks, and Database Partitioning etc.) - MVC and SOA architecture (WCF/WPF) - Absolute MUST is strong .NET and SQL skills Nice to Haves, but not a must: - EDI transactions (specifically 837, 835, 999, 277) - Have some Claims payment systems experience.
