*Reports to:* Technical Director, Software

*Note : Consultant should be ready to be hired after 6 months*

*Examples of Work Performed*
1. 10% of their week on management tasks, 10% on production support, 30%
on technical design and mentoring, 50% on writing code
2. Write code for one or more programs or projects while ensuring
adherence to technical excellence of our employee-facing and
consumer-facing experiences
3. Remain current on technology trends applicable to Life Time Fitness’s
business
4. Mentor other developers, participate in code reviews
5. Use appropriate technical design methods to explain your approach
6. Ensure technology, legal, security and process standards are followed
across your assigned business segments
7. Understand and communicate technical and functional design
requirements
8. Design, code, and test technical solutions, including unit testing
9. Perform code reviews
10. Understand and help guide the evolution of the system’s architecture
11. Understand the necessity of, have experience with and aid in
establishing and ensuring delivery to coding standards
12. Understand project expectations as communicated by the Solution
Architect and/or Technical Director on the project
13. Estimate development effort to deliver
14. Recognize and effectively communicate risks to project timelines and
quality
15. Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
16. Proactively work with Interactive Business Analysts, Creative, User
Experience and Quality Assurance Analyst to define project requirements
*Minimum Qualifications*
· *Education:*
Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent combination of
education and experience
Graduate degree preferred
· *Experience:*
7+ years of experience in the software or website development industry
*At least 3 years of experience with the following:*
o Developing J2EE applications with WebLogic Server or comparable
application server.
*At least 2 years of experience with 25% or more of the following:*
o Numerous programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C#, Objective-C,
Python, Ruby, etc)
o Numerous frameworks in each language (jQuery, MooTools, Spring,
Hibernate, GWT, Swing, Sling, Jackrabbit)
o J2EE Container (experience with WebLogic a plus)
o Developing web services
o Developing system integrations with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
and Workday
o Data integrations across disparate systems
o Integration tools & techniques (ESBs, Orchestration, SOA, XML, JSON,
SOAP, REST, etc)
o PCI / HIPAA / Data security techniques
o E-commerce or other monetization technology integration (experience with
Hybris a plus)
o CRM applications (experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
o MS SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
o Hosting / Cloud / SaaS offerings
o Enterprise level content management and/or collaboration tools (Adobe CQ,
SharePoint)
o Rich internet development (AJAX, Flash, Flex, Silverlight)
o Web analytics packages (Google Analytics, Omniture / SiteCatalyst, Unica)
o Behavioral targeting or end-to-end marketing optimization (CRM type
tools, A/B testing, etc)
o *NIX, Windows, and Mac OSs
