Washington, DC 6 Months Contract Description: ITSSR is implementing process improvements and automated workflows using a COTS package. We are looking for the services of a Senior Business Analyst. Responsibilities: · Perform the business analyst role for ITSSR projects, including but not limited to development of automated workflows for information security processes in the COTS IT GRC tool (RSAM). · Lead the Requirements and Design phase. Deduce and articulate business and technical requirements from all implicit and explicit sources. This could be through reviewing specs/documents, stakeholder interviews, brainstorming sessions, vendor sessions, etc. · Analyze collected requirements and propose solution to meet the stakeholder needs. Produce all necessary interim documents to visualize and effectively facilitate confirmation of the requirements with the stakeholders. · Build stakeholder consensus and ensure everyone is on the same page, agree on, and can visualize the solution being proposed. The BA is expected to leverage rapid prototyping approaches to present as-is/to-be processes/workflows and rough designs of the proposed solution. · Develop business cases, use cases, test plans, test strategies, test cases, and operational procedures and plans. The BA will also be involved in conducting testing of the solution as needed, as well as developing training materials and conducting training. · Maintain a comprehensive chronological trail of requirements and agreements and actively contribute to the project change control process. Document and manage issues and actions. · Prepare and make presentations using MS PowerPoint and Visio to project stakeholders and management. · Participate in the evaluation of new products or initiatives to determine the technology support required. Collaborate with IT professionals to determine if solutions currently exist (internally or externally) or whether new solutions are feasible to meet requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS PER PER-SCREEN: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis, or Management of Information Systems with a solid understanding of systems engineering concepts and the SDLC · 7+ years of in-depth business analysis experience with extensive experience in systems design and documenting business requirements, developing functional specifications, defining test cases, executing test scripts, and providing user training and support · Extensive skills and experience with COTS implementation as BA/BSA on COTS projects · Knowledge of Business Analysis best practices (such as BABOK) and ability to effectively apply them · Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus · Leadership skills and ability to work well with diverse team members, often in multiple locations. Ability to work with different points-of-view and lead the team to convergence always keeping the project objectives in sight. · Familiarity with Information Security concepts and technologies · Skilled at building use cases. Strong MS Visio and MS Office skills are essential · Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to communicate well with all levels, technical as well as non-technical stakeholders · Critical to have strong presentation and facilitation skills · Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take things to closure without follow-ups Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
