We have below urgent requirement for *Data Modeler* for a contractual position at *Monterey Park, CA. * *Job Position: Data Modeler* *Location: Monterey Park, CA * *Duration: Long term contract* *Start Date: Immediate* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* =========================================== ** *9+ Years’ experience with heavy banking domain experience and discuss with them regarding IBM Data warehouse data model and M1 software.* *NOTE: * *M1 is a modeling/design product that comes with the IBM BDW model and contains all of the names/definitions of the BDW data elements. M1 is used in conjunction with the ERWIN toolset.* The Data Modeler will be responsible for the design and development of the logical and physical data model based on source systems. Architect data modeling solutions for Data Warehouse and down streams. Facilitate consistent business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, database management Systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the group level *Essential Functions:* · Extensive background in data architecture design, data management, data migration and integration with emphasis on both high end OLTP and Business Intelligence solutions. Design, build and extend the IBM data model; Logical and Physical Data Model. · Analyze Business Requirements, design logical data models and systems functions and present to stakeholders. · Coordinate and interact with technical and business groups within the department. · Define data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and apply accepted data content standards to technology projects. · Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise. · Review, verify and approve the Conceptual and Logical data models done by the owner teams for modeling standards, naming convention and properly defining all objects and relationships. · Convert the Logical models in to Physical models, and generate the delta or forward engineer DDL script, and execute in the database. · Create complex views and materialized views and tune for performance. · Administer and manage the users and privileges on Erwin or ER/Studio Data Architect tool & Portal Repository server. · Manage the repository server and all projects to follow the best standards and to keep them in sync with Prod. · Create/modify macros in the ER/DA tool to generate more user friendly reports in aiding the creation of the business glossary document in the format requested by business. · Enable enterprise wide metadata management using the MDR and Colibra tools · Publish data models, conduct training on DW model to developers, BAs, DAs, and QA resources · Mentor staff, direct and document application design strategies. *Technology:* · *IBM Banking Data Model; Erwin; M1; Modeling and mapping tool - Required* *Primary Skills:* · Architectural/Data Modeling/Data Mapping in the banking Model; Modeling Tools; Banking *Experience:* · *10 years of experience in BDW(Banking Data warehouse); Data Modelling and Data Mapping* · Leadership qualities Banking product knowledge on capital markets products (derivatives, options & futures, fixed income, etc.) or Core Banking products (loans, deposits, treasury – FX & Money Market, Trade Finance) *Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of banking & financial services industry experience designing dimensional models for financial data warehouse products using industry standard tools such as Embarcadero (preferred) and Erwin. · Data warehouse concepts and strong Dimensional Data modeling experience is required. · Data Quality and Data Governance concepts and experience is required. · Exposure to Informatica ETL or Business Intelligence tools is preferred. · Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. · Excellent mentoring skills · Must work well in a team environment. · Model maintenance via portal/website a plus. =========================================== Thanks and warm regards, *Manoj Kumar* Technical Recruiter || United Software Group Inc. 565 Metro Place S.
