*Title: Data Modeler, Business Intelligence* *Rate: Open * *Location: Remote * *Duties and Key responsibilities include: * The Data Modeler is responsible for designing, testing and implementing conceptual, logical and physical models for Intertek’s Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) initiative. This individual will model central and globally-distributed delivery of data to the central Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from multiple legacy source systems to the central EDW system. *Technical / Business Requirements* Work effectively with various internal teams to ensure quality delivery of information (groups may be comprised of project managers, business sponsors, developers, DBAs, business analysts, data integrators, data architects and report writers) across disparate systems, data standards and informal sources. Responsible for the modeling, both physical and semantic, of disparate information for report development. Establish data modeling and documentation best practices for the EPM. Assist with the architecture and infrastructure to meet business requirements. Ensure integrity of data models to meet functional reporting requirements of the business through effective data modeling. Work closely with Data Architects, Data Integrators (ETL) and Reporting Team to deliver viable solutions. Projects including: OCM, NA Business Intelligence, Financial Reporting, DocGen, GTS BI, LIMS Operational Reporting, GSCC Business Assurance BI, iEnable Analytics, iConnect CRM BI. *Education and Experience * BS degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and at least 2 years of experience with progressively more difficult assignments or equivalent experience. 3+ years direct experience with reporting systems and data modeling tools. In depth knowledge of RDBMS including SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, DB2. At least 3 implementations of Data Warehouse implementation experience doing data architecting using data modeling tools including Oracle Data Modeler, Quest Toad, ER/Studio, Sybase PowerDesigner, CA Erwin. Experience working with XML. Extensive experience with Data Modeling . Strong experience with Data Quality Management (DQM). Knowledgeable in OLTP systems and relational modeling. Knowledgeable in OLAP systems and dimensional modeling. Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2 or above. Strong knowledge of database star schema and database table relationships. Experience with Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases as source systems Willingness to work in a fast paced environment and can adapt to new circumstances. Proven experience in database parameterization, load performance, troubleshooting, and Data Quality Management techniques.
