*DevOps Engineer - Configuration Management and Automation LOCATION: Denver, CO DURATION: 12 months +* *INTERVIEW: phone screen/ phone screen or Skype* *REQ.* *SKILLS:* DevOps Engineer - Configuration Management and Automation *Responsibilities:* Software Deployment: Contribute to continual rollout of deployment automation across multiple Test and Production environments, author and maintain cookbooks, perform related training. Handle manual deployments that are still not automated. Automation: Author customized scripts software applications to automate environment maintenance, orchestration, and release engineering tasks Continuous Integration: define, configure and script build, metric, test, deploy, release and other steps of deployment pipeline for variety applications. Installation, configuration, and management of all source control and build automation tools Implementation of all major project builds and moves across multiple environments for all projects within the organization and provide gatekeeper functionality between development and operation groups. Defines and implements build and branching strategies for the development team Works closely with the Developers to understand and support their needs for daily builds, continuing integration, etc. Resolves any issues associated with the Configuration Management process. Experienced in automated Build Management systems *Requirements:* Solid understanding of build/release engineering concepts and best practices to include the understanding of branching/merging strategies, code inventory, code management and code promotion. 4+ years of experience building enterprise software as part of a full SDLC. 4+ years of experience with PowerShell and batch scripting. 4+ years of configuration management experience. 4+ years of Automation engineering to include implementation. Adequate Linux /Unix/Windows skills to understand the infrastructure and applications. Scripting skills to be able to code deployment scripts and other tools and related systems. Familiarity with modern technologies and ability to learn fast Attitude to build working solutions quickly and iterate on them, also to automate all the things! Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional internal customers support.
