We have below urgent requirement for *Project Manager *for a contractual position at *Durham, NC. * *Job Position: Project Manager* *Location: Durham, NC* *Duration: 6 months to end of year* *Local Candidate: Preferred (at least near the east coast I would say! But I am SURE client need to be on site at this client in Raleigh/Durham area)* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* =========================================== *Primary Skill*: PM *Skills Required*: University degree, many years in IT-business process (approx. 3-8 years) in *project portfolio management.* *MUST HAVE SOX experience* *Description: Role purpose* • *Plans, manages and implements major complex international IS projects and programs* to achieve business objectives by ensuring delivery on time, at high quality, within the parameters of the budget and by meeting business needs. Monitors project progress, addresses issues and manages escalation. Project responsibility, no direct reports, quite some external resources potentially from different suppliers and with complex reporting structures. • Demonstrate and promote professional project management according to the *Global Business Change Methodology* to successfully deliver projects as a reliable leader. • Provide leadership and support for more junior and external project managers. • Plans, manages and implements with guidance from senior person international IS projects and programs to achieve business objectives by ensuring delivery on time, at high quality, within the parameters of the budget and by meeting business needs. Monitors project progress, addresses issues and manages escalation. Project responsibility, no direct reports, some external resources potentially from different suppliers and with complex reporting structures. • Demonstrate and promote professional project management according to the Global Business Change Methodology to successfully deliver projects as a reliable leader. *Accountabilities Operational responsibility* • Assists with IS projects. Validate proposed solutions. • Monitor project progress, addressing issues and managing escalation where required. • Ensure that the projects delivered are compliant with Syngenta's project standards, security standards and with SOX requirements. • Ensure that adequate support environment is in place before transferring the solution to operational mode. • Stakeholder management • Monitors project progress, addresses issues and manages escalation. • Manage major international IS projects. Validate proposed solutions. • Monitor project progress, addressing issues and managing escalation where required.
