Summary:
Write programs to maintain and control computer systems software for
operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for
creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program
after it has been made.
Education/Experience
o Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant field
o 10+ years experience required
Skills and Competencies:
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,
customer service and interpersonal skills
o Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time
o Expert mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive
performance feedback
o Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from
business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional
specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery
o Expert ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as
needed to resolve issue
o Expert knowledge of computer hardware and software
o Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE,
etc
Technical Skills Required
o Direct experience with high-concurrency using Java
o Direct experience with coding high-throughput web services
o Some experience with Debugging/profiling tools
o OOAD concepts and design principles/patterns

o Build tools such as Maven and Jenkins
