*Summary*
Perform standard engineering assignments, which are of moderate technical
complexity and usually represent a significant portion of a larger
project. Independently select engineering techniques and approach to less
experienced employees. Individuals in the capacity are recognized as
having a high level of technical proficiency.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
1. Perform moderately complex technical tasks which usually represent a
significant portion of a larger project.
2. Generate recommendations and conclusions for new designs and product
improvements with minimal guidance.
3. Ensure completion of assigned projects within budget, time and cost
constraints.
4. Coordinate work with other engineers and operating groups.
5. Provide technical counsel and assistance to less experienced
employees.
6. Write design specifications and test plans that will meet the system
requirements
7. Design and Implement and unit test system modules as per the
requirements
8. Direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
9. Using live vehicles and simulators test the system modules to verify
correct operation.
10. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
*Job Qualifications*
1 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
2 Focused technical knowledge; Minimum of 3+ years’ related
experience or a master’s degree in engineering or science.
3 Real-time programming and multi-threading experience with C/C++
4 Experience with vehicle diagnostics, specifically ISO 14229,
CAN/ISO15765, OBDII is highly desirable.
5 Experience in Java SE, OSGi and Eclipse RCP.
6 Experience in Object oriented design and the use of patterns.
7 Extreme and agile programming methodologies.
8 Ability to travel to customer locations as needed (local).
9 Ability to speak and present in front of client in design and
review meetings.
10 Good command of the English language, both oral and written is
required.
