If interested please respond back to me at [email protected] <[email protected]> * *Job Description:* · Write test cases · Execute test cases · Plus perform the following troubleshooting on an RF network: · Determine frequency of issue (how often it occurs, how reproducible) · Look in STB diags · Are RF levels good (in the normal range)? May need to pad the cable, or swap out a splitter. · Position for a Video Set-top box QA test technician. · Candidate should have experience with video set-top box QA testing · Must have the ability to create and write test scripts. · Understand requirements. Documenting bugs and test results. · Video services performance testing , triage, diagnosis, root cause analysis and debugging · Working in a fast-paced, state of the art Lab facility within a team environment. *Note impacted STB type(s)* QAM or NC1500 frequency is being stepped on (can cause black screens on one or more channels) Pull logs from the STB. Use Command2000 to pull the logs for Trio STB’s, not sure what you will use to see logs for WM boxes. STB serial # Program/channel issue was seen on *For VOD issues* – seen on all VOD assets, or similar VOD asset types. Seen on all STBs. Or just one asset? Verify the account is entitled for the VOD that has the issue. ICOMS entitlement, and the entitlement in the VOD system. Compare with Rovi data. This will help you determine if the issue is a Rovi config issue, a feed issue, plant issue, TMS data issue, QAM issue, splitter issue, ect.
