Position 1: Networking Test Systems Engineer Contract Job in Roseville, CA Looking for a Networking Test Systems Engineer, for a long term contract with our client in Roseville, CA. This person will be designing network topology and will be doing project defined testing. This person will be testing certain features of different stress levels. The lab is already built. This group does all the testing prior to releasing to customer. This position will be responsible for the design, testing and demonstration of LAN Core/Distribution switches and LAN Access switches. . We are looking for someone with Cisco experience, CCNA, CCNP preferred. This person needs to have layer 1, 2, and 3 exp. ideally someone with scripting TCL/Python is plus. Specific responsibilities include: · Build, administer, and troubleshoot large networking environments stressing complex software switch features · Design, author, and review network feature test plans · Automate feature test cases created, a TCL/Python scripting background is a plus. · Perform interoperability and competitive analysis testing of 3rd party products, including Cisco, Juniper, etc. Qualifications Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or minimum of 7 years of related equivalent experience. Ideal candidate must be willing to work in a technically challenging environment, with minimal direction and support. Must have a good understanding of most of the following technical areas: Musts: · IPv4/IPv6 · TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet · VLANs, MSTP · RADIUS or TACACS+ authentication · DHCP, DNS, SNMP · Scripting languages – TCL/Expect, Perl · Network Security Features · Linux/Windows experience Wants: · Traffic generation testing tools (Ixia, Spirent) · 3rd Party device experience (Cisco, H3C) · Multicast, IGMP, PIM · Quality of Service, Class of Service · Routing Protocols, RIP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP · OpenFlow, SDN, OpenStack · ACLs, ICMP, RPVST+, QinQ · High availability – virtualized switching/routing, stacking · Vmware ESXi, data center experience (FCoE a plus) This Networking Test Systems Engineer contract Job in Folsom, CA will not be open long so apply now for immediate consideration.
