*Duration: Long Term* *Requirements* * Install, maintain, configure, and run the DB2 LUW system software and related DB2 administration tools in Redhat Linux environments. * Investigate and resolve problems in production and non-production environments. * Monitor, set up and manage DB2 backup/restore/replication procedures. * Assist with the physical design of DB2 database systems. * Monitor database size and performance in production and non-production environments. * Partner with Systems Programming and WebSphere Application Server staff on making recommendations for system level modifications related to DB2. * Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. * Use initiative and a consultative approach to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions. * Work with DB2 on AIX environments if needed. * DB2 LUW Version 9.5 through current as well asDB2's HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) * Proficiency in setting up backup and recovery strategies using legato NMDA and SRDF * Working knowledge of OPM - Optim Performance Manager / DB2 Performance Expert * Experience with Redhat Linux operating system, DB2 LUW transaction log management, and security configuration using LDAP * Data Studio, DB2TOP, DB2PD, Monitor Traces knowledge * Exposure to Change Data Capture or Q-Replicator tools is preferred * Understanding of Oracle 10g and above and SQL Server 2005 and above is desirable * Knowledge of DB2 PureScale High * Flexibility, high energy, autonomy, and a good sense of humor are must-haves for our rapidly changing technical environment! * Provide on-call support as necessary. *Thanks&Regards* *K Kumar* *Pronix Inc * *[email protected] <[email protected]> * *Work : 732 947 4816 |Fax : 732 909 2000* *www.Pronixinc.com <http://www.Pronixinc.com> |E-verfiy company * *Linkedin Id : www.linkedin.com/pub/shravan-kumar/b5/27/134/en <http://www.linkedin.com/pub/shravan-kumar/b5/27/134/en>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
