*Job Title: Java Lead/ArchitectWork Location: Marlborough, MADuration: 6 Months* *Job Description:• Solid Java development expertise (90%) *– mandatory as tools and utilities have to be developed/enhanced from time *to time• Performance Profiling / Tuning / Testing Experience (10%) * – ability to think around application/system/infrastructure performance is important • Solid communication skills (Mandatory) – mandatory as customer interaction will be very high *Role Requirements & responsibilities:*• Consultant with around 8+ years of experience implementing performance engineering for various clients across domains (preferably Retail) • Expert level understanding of Java, core Java EE components, JVM statistics and JVM tuning on one of the app servers IIS/Websphere/ Weblogic/ JBoss etc. • Good understanding of one of the enterprise databases like Oracle, DB2 or SQL etc. • Good understanding of one or more operating systems (preferably AIX, Linux, windows) and analyze how they contribute to performance • Understand business use cases, internal/external performance Benchmarks, debug performance issues, decision making on issues, technical assistance in performance analysis, and tuning databases and applications stack • Involved in Non Functional Requirement gathering, Planning, Design, Development, Performance Testing, Performance engineering, Monitoring, and Analysis activities • Participate and review application architecture, design and requirements documents from performance perspective. • Collaborating with stakeholders, Managing & Mentoring Team Members, • Work with development team to resolve any potential performance bottleneck.
