As a Senior Business Analyst (SOA) in this role, you will be representing
the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) group as a Technical Business
Analyst. You will be responsible for consultation with the internal and/or
external customer and be expected to have technical understanding of the
“application channels”, systems, capabilities, and respective technologies.
You will be tasked with analyzing customer processes and requirements,
preparing specified project documentation according to IT standards,
maintaining communication with customer and team members and promote a team
environment, and assisting with business process decomposition.
*Essential Responsibilities: *
• Document common business rules that are part of the service
solution.
• Maintain an understanding of services available in the
service registry and analyzes potential reuse of existing services.
• Responsible for reusable service identification and
requirements elicitation for functional, information, and non-functional
requirements for a reusable service.
• Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain “SOA system
requirements” for various projects and/or systems from initial phase to
final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards.
• Interact with application developers, application BAs and
PMs, other portfolios, Vendors, SOA PMs, Architects, Developers, and QA
testers, for full life cycle of a project.
• Interview stakeholders, subject matter experts and facilitate
JAD sessions to gather and document requirements.
• Analyze and model system functions, using activity and
sequence diagrams.
• Develop use case specifications, use case diagrams, and
elaborate use cases through design process.
• Coordinate and lead use case reviews with application
development teams, SOA architects, developers and QA teams.
• Assist in maintenance and communication of project status
reports and tracking.
• Coordinate resolution of issues to include change management,
root cause analysis, and appropriate escalation as needed.
• Assist in the development of project work plans, progress
reports, and presentations.
• Work with QA to validate test cases
• *May perform other duties as assigned.
*Basic Entry Requirements: *
• Bachelors Degree in CS, IS, or Technical BA with five (5) to
seven (7) yrs of experience, or any equivalent combination of experience,
education, and training.
• Experience in enterprise systems analysis and architecture
experience, including SOA.
• Understanding of XML, SOAP, and Web service technologies.
• Experience with Tibco Active Matrix
• Understanding of Service Registry and Repository.
• Proficient in DLTERM
• The ideal candidate has the above with 3 to 5 yrs project
coordination, and SOA experience.
