This engineer will be working in the customer’s network lab in the Denver,
CO area.
He/she will be supporting a network-wide migration from the Cisco 7600
router platform to the ASR9K platform, therefore expert knowledge of the
ASR9K is required.
Duties will include testing/validating MOPs, testing and verifying correct
router configurations,
consulting with customer and other Cisco engineers, assisting to replicate
network failures in the lab and determine root cause and resolution.
The job requirements are listed below:
• Minimum CCNP certification
• Expert Knowledge of IOS-XR and ASR9k
• Expert knowledge of Traffic generators like SPIRENT OR IXIA.
• Able to clearly articulate a customer technical problem
scenario and replicate it in the Lab
• Experience with troubleshooting Service Provider networks –
CHOC-12/48, MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, Pseudo-wire, BGP, OSPF, ISIS
• Cisco Pay Grade 8 equivalent
