It is loaded using an rc script during the init process, which for faster boot 
times is running scripts in parallel.
This is why gdm seems to pass over and it happens sometimes to start 
vmware-user-suid-wrapper before the vmblock is fully available.

Thus having vmware-user-suid-wrapper retry for a few seconds might not be the 
worst thing to do

As said, it only happens in case of automatic login being activated. In other 
case the time it takes to log in is long enough to initialize
completely. (At least I seem to be slow enugh by typing)
