I should have guessed cut and paste, given the filename that wouldn't  
compile! That's a pity.

Yes, although vmware-install.pl works OK, vmware-config-tools.pl  
(7.9.6 build 173382) fails to install the Xorg modules because the  
version of Xorg in OpenSolaris is 7.5.1, and the tools can only handle  
Xorg <= 7.1. AIUI the tools really don't work even if you install them  
manually/cheat with symlinks.
