Why I can't have the modules build?
/lib/modules/2.6.35.14/ contains linux headers.
Also there is no Makefile.normal under vmsync/. Only Makefile & Makefile.kernel

Because having sources under /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build is the standard
way of setting up the system.

No, I don't. I will try that on Monday as my stuff are at work.
Btw, why not make the sources compile just under /usr/src/linux ?
Everything is just in there. There is no reason for links and strange
paths...

kernel-devel contains full kernel sources.
Do yo have a link similar to:

It's an LFS based distribution.
I have full kernel source under /usr/src/linux-2.6.35.14 and its headers
under /lib/modules/2.6.35.14/
Can you be more specific about that kernel-dev package?
