So, I've working on getting packaging the current dev release for Ubuntu Quantal. I've attached a patch that isolates the lines of code that needs to be changed. I had a problem with vmtoolsd (it was giving me a segment fault at boot), so that part isn't right I think the easiest way to fix this is to add if statements. Please, fix it. Don't say you won't fix it because "only effects Ubuntu," but other distros use these newer versions of glib. I've done all I can with my patch, I can't figure out why vmtoolsd is giving me faults.
