in doubt: http://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx/index.htmlthese are all yum-repos which you can add to a own repo-file and so you will get also updates without mangle manually around, especially when you are using vmxnet3 it's not funny acting without network before reubuild (RHEL7 has them already in teh kernel)
