Yes, I am. At the time of Hardy feature freeze VMware was already gaining alot of momentum, but now it is safe to say that they are the defacto standard for virtualisation in businesses. Hence I think it is vital to have proper open-vm-tools in Lucid, and because it will be LTS, it is worth putting effort into this. As soon as the beta is out I will start testing too. I guess we can use this list to discuss the things we come across... I have about 25 Hardy VMs on ESX 3.5, that I would like to upgrade to Lucid and ESX4. ESX4 should not be a problem, but Lucid depends very much on the quality of the entire build, and specifically how well open-vm-tools work. Let's hope for the best. I could not find information about Lucid having 'nox' (No X) packages of open-vm-tools for servers, anyone knows about this? -- * *** TIENHUIS Networking ** * * Dick Visser * * *** Touwbaan 68 * * * * 1018 HS * ** * Amsterdam * * * The Netherlands * * * +31622698108 *** *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
