Your claim that things are moving toward statically linked library.
That is not so. You are simply claiming "things are moving backward in
time". We deliberately moved to dynamically linked library, away from
statically linked for all kinds of good reasons. May be some
incarnation of open64 release are like that, this is not the trend of
SW in general, and will not be.
